Job Summary:
The Compensation Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the company’s compensation programs. This role ensures that our pay practices are competitive, compliant with regulations, and aligned with our business objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing compensation strategies across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy: Develop and implement competitive and equitable compensation structures that align with company goals, industry trends, and market data.
- Job Analysis & Benchmarking: Conduct job evaluations, analyze internal and external market data, and establish consistent job leveling across locations.
- Compensation Programs: Manage annual salary planning, merit increases, bonuses, and incentive programs to ensure alignment with performance metrics and budget guidelines.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including California-specific labor regulations.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, and senior leadership to align compensation practices with organizational goals.
- Communication & Training: Provide guidance and training to managers and HR partners on compensation philosophy, practices, and tools.
- System Management: Oversee compensation tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead special projects related to pay equity, retention strategies, and workforce analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or CCP certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of California wage and hour laws and experience managing compensation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS and compensation tools; experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
